  1. Kia ora Max,

My name is Olive and I’m one of the new blog commentators in the Kaikohekohe cluster this summer! I’m working the Teaser Week and I’m super excited to see all your blog activities!

Congratulations on completing your first blog post! I’m so glad you decided to participate in The Summer Learning Journey! You look like you’ve had a lot of fun! I really enjoyed reading your Smilies! They sound like very funny ways to describe your friends! I thought is was a very clever way to describe your friend as ‘cool as a freezer’! You are right, freezers are very cool, hahah. I can’t wait to see more of your work!

I challenge you to make up your own simile, where you describe yourself as an animal! I’ll have a go! Olive is as loud as a barking seal! Hahah, my friends say when I get excited I chat a lot! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Thank you for your great blog post and have fun completing the rest of the activities.

Feel free to check out my blog and get to know me a little better!

  2. Kia ora Max,

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities

You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.

I hope I get to read some of your work!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla

  3. Kia ora Max I’m Archie from Paihia School I am a year 6 student. I liked your blog post about your Summer Learning Journey project. I like how you compared your friends to funny things. I did something like this last year and I enjoyed it. How long did it take you to make it and have you done it before?

  4. Kia ora Max my name is Tahuri I am a Year six student at Paihia School. I have commented on your blog before when I was a year five. Any way I like your blog post about the learning journey project I liked that you used similes in your poem. I remember when I used similes in my poem it was fun. Have you ever used metaphors before?
